Medway School of Pharmacy has been rated number one in the table of higher education institutions in the National Student Survey published recently.
The survey gives students the chance to turn the tables on their teachers, when they give their views on every area of university life – from lectures to libraries.
Ninety-seven per cent of final year undergraduates from the Medway school said they were 'satisfied' or 'very satisfied' with their education, ranking the school more highly than any other institution.
Professor Alistair Mathie said: "This is a fantastic result. It would be a huge achievement for any institution, but it's especially rewarding as we are a new school. The students' positive feedback is a tribute to the high-quality teaching staff we have in the school; the excellent facilities that we are able to offer on campus; and the strong links that the school has developed with local community and hospital pharmacists."
Established in 2004, Medway’s School of Pharmacy now has 60 academic staff and more than 600 students, studying for foundation degrees in Pharmacy, or for the MPharm qualification which can lead to professional accreditation as a practising pharmacist.
